I hope the week has been good to you all, and this semester is helping you all on your eventual careers in life. We are having another event on the 20th of November, where Dr. J. Patrick Abulencia will be coming to talk to us about how "the disciplines of chemistry and chemical engineering are often viewed by many as distinct and disparate. Chemists primarily study molecular mechanisms, whilst chemical engineers study
processes at the manufacturing scale. Despite these different viewpoints, knowledge of both provides a competitive advantage for those seeking employment in formulation-based industries such as cosmetics/personal care. In this talk, Dr. J. Patrick Abulencia will present his career path engaging these two disciplines, major decisions along the way, and lessons learned. He will conclude by discussing opportunities to earn an M.S. in chemical engineering at Manhattan University, with concentrations in cosmetics/personal care, biopharmaceuticals, and sustainable materials".
The meeting will be held in room A506 of the Acedmic Building, and from the time of 01:00pm-02:00pm. Make sure to come even if you're not in the chemistry or engineering major since he will be sharing his jorney of flexibnility between the major and it will help you a lot to listen in and loisten to how he proceeded throught hings further in his life.
